Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how AunTel may and may not be used. It protects users, recipients, carriers, emergency services, and the integrity of the platform.
Forbidden activity
- Unlawful robocalling, auto-dialing, artificial or prerecorded voice use, or telemarketing without required consent.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk SMS/MMS, lead-generation abuse, or messages without required opt-in and opt-out handling.
- Fraudulent caller ID spoofing, impersonation, phishing, scams, malware, or attempts to obtain sensitive information deceptively.
- Harassment, threats, stalking, hate, exploitation, abusive communications, or content that creates a safety risk.
- Calling or messaging numbers on Do-Not-Call lists without a lawful basis or ignoring STOP, unsubscribe, or revocation requests.
- Business messaging that avoids required 10DLC, toll-free verification, carrier registration, campaign disclosures, or content restrictions.
- Circumventing platform security, rate limits, compliance monitoring, identity verification, billing systems, or carrier filtering.
Required compliance practices
- Maintain clear consent records for calls and messages.
- Identify yourself accurately and avoid misleading caller ID, campaign names, or sender information.
- Honor opt-out requests promptly and maintain internal suppression lists.
- Comply with TCPA, CAN-SPAM where applicable, CRTC requirements, state telemarketing rules, carrier messaging policies, and all local laws.
- Use emergency calling responsibly and keep registered E911 address information current.
Monitoring and enforcement
AunTel may monitor usage patterns, complaint rates, carrier reports, opt-out rates, answer rates, message similarity, destination patterns, and security signals to detect abuse.
Enforcement may include warnings, throttling, message blocking, call blocking, number suspension, account suspension, account termination, or cooperation with carriers and law enforcement when required.
